Clydesdals are strong, big horses. Typical features are a slightly curved head profile, long ears and a short neck. They are very friendly, hardworking and helpful. Unlike warm-blooded and thoroughbreds, they wear four to five times the amount of iron. Although Clydesdale horses are rather massive and, first of all, heavy, they can move very elegantly. They are known for raising their white legs especially soaringly and high. Therefore, they are used not only as draft horses, but also for various shows and street shows.
