In total, more than 15 000 were built, an all-time record! In December 2011 Boeing launched the new Boeing 737 MAX. The new generation of aircraft is based on an older design and features improved aerodynamics and more efficient engines. The first machines of this type were delivered to airlines in 2017. One of the first users of the 737 MAX 8 is the Polish airline LOT, which received its first Boeing 737 MAX 8 on December 2, 2017. The package contains 340 building blocks.
